Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Writing by hand has taken a back seat to Chromebooks and Zoom meetings, and all students are struggling to get back to basics. I want my kids to use their supplies for journaling, quizzes, and free writing activities so that in case the world ends and technology becomes obsolete...they can still express themselves. For example, on Fridays, students are allowed to have a free writing session during class so that they become accustomed to writing short answers by hand, which will better prepare them for AP exams that will be handwritten.

I recently was told about the Teachers pay Teachers website of resources, and as a new teacher, I can't express enough how helpful this exchange is for me and my students!

Planning day-to-day classes that are both educational and entertaining can often be brutal, so being able to utilize this tool really allows me to keep my students engaged without being repetitive.

These last few years have already given them a million extra things to worry about and adjust around. Please help me give them back a little bit of normalcy that doesn't involve a "screen." Help me provide materials that allow my kids to work with actual, tactile materials again!
