My Project

My students are all Native Spanish speakers who come from varied backgrounds. By giving them a sticker a day and greeting them at the door, it reminds them that they are welcome in the United States and valued. Each one comes from a different country or their family does, so this is a way for me to say I am happy you are here today and I am here to help you. They need some extra attention to assimilate to their new country and their new culture. They want to assimilate but may need a helping hand. I love their enthusiasm to learn and obtain their American dream. With a positive attitude, it is easier to learn and it shows them they are special and someone cares about them.
