Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our K-5 students are enthusiastic about hands-on learning opportunities. The majority of students at our Title 1 school live in low-income housing in Brooklyn, New York and we know that our students benefit from a well-stocked art closet with materials that are ready to use and explore. The students enjoy working with art supplies that go beyond the regular crayons and let them discover their inner artists!

My Project

Our Kindergarten students make regular use of crayons and pencils, however we want to expand our horizon and unleash our inner artists! We want to use real canvas, oil pastels, wooden crafts and metallic paint to create true masterpieces.

We want to invite families to come and visit the art gallery and present our one of a kind masterpieces.

This project is going to expose students to new and authentic art materials and tools which will help my students craft and create projects for all seasons and holidays. Thank you very much!
