My Project
The items I am requesting are to be used as dedicated Augmentative and Alternative Communication ( (AAC) devices for my nonverbal Jr. High and High School students diagnosed with Autism and/or Intellectual Disability.
Our school is located on the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe reservation in central South Dakota.
Acquiring language is often difficult for students with Autism and/or Intellectual Disabilities. These AAC devices will allow my students to have a voice in the world.
Let us be their advocates to ensure their voices are heard.
