I'm a second grade teacher in a title one public school in Sunset Park Brooklyn. We have a program called writing workshop where the children are asked to write about their personal memories and pull out one small moment from their memory and really stretch this moment out into a book with pictures and some writing on every page. After the children make their books they are put into a folder to be saved until they may need to use them again. The children may use the same story a number of times and after being handled so much the stories start to rip and break apart. I'm asking for a laminating machine and laminating paper for the classroom so that the children's books can last for a long time and they can always have their cherished memories without having to worry that when they want to read their book or share it with someone else it may fall apart. Thanks for considering my proposal and for giving the children's books a long shelf life.
