Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students walk into class every day very eager to know what the day has in store for them. They ask a lot of questions and are interested in learning about the world around them. However, their eagerness to learn is often stifled by problems they face in their everyday lives. My students are from a low/socio-economic area, and more often than not, learning takes a backseat to their daily struggles. My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for my students so that they can strive to learn and be a “normal” student. They can forget their troubles, even if it’s just for a little while, and be a student full of wonder and enthusiasm.

My Project

My students have done their best while learning from home during this very challenging times. Since we do not know what the future holds for what will happen in the fall, makings sure that opportunities to learn in the class, while maintaining a safe social distance will be optimal.

When the students come back in the fall, instead of having students gather on the rug for group and class discussions and presentations, they will be able to do so from the safe distances of their desks.

They will be able to use the tablet from their seats to display their thinking to their other classmates.
