My Project

Students love to play; lucky for me they learn through play too! My students are so fun and playful and when given the right direction, they can learn ANYTHING!

However, one of the setbacks I've noticed as a result of school closures, is that many students need opportunites to build social skills.

Using LEGO Education SPIKE set, I will teach my 3rd graders some basic coding skills through play. SPIKE Prime continuously engages students through playful learning activities to think critically and solve complex problems, regardless of their learning level.

Students will learn easy-entry projects to limitless creative design possibilities, including the option to explore text-based coding with Python.

The outcome will be that once my students have a grasp on how to code, they will work with a group of students with special needs at our school to play and teach those students how to code as well. This will be a coding / community service group opportunity for all.
