Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach reading and writing, but my students need more opportunities to express themselves through drawing. Many of my students use drawing to manage stress and develop content confidence. I usually ask students' families to purchase colored pencils, and a few usually do, but it would be great if every student could have their own set of colored pencils.

By providing each student in my class with a colored pencil set, I can better incorporate art into literacy education.

Some students are great at expressing themselves through writing but giving each student a set of colored pencils provides students with another modality of learning.
