My Project

My classes include 120 wonderful Prek-5th grade mostly Hispanic/Latinx students who are eager to learn!

Many of my students do not have access to technology at home. However, they are hardworking and eager to learn at school. Many students ask for extra classes during recess or before/after school. There are many wonderful resources that could support and enhance their learning in the classroom and prepare them to be college and career ready.

However, finding working headsets is a constant struggle.

Technology in the classroom is a game changer! It can be used to differentiate instruction, allow students the opportunity to collaborate, provide students with access to unlimited academic and cultural information, and create an effective and efficient home-school connection.

Currently, we order several hundred low-quality headsets from the only approved vendor and they break often. This requires several educators to manage the supply inventory process quarterly.

The only thing standing between my students’ success and what support classroom technology provides are 40 medium-quality headsets.

With these forty headsets, my students will become digital citizens who are prepared for future success in college and careers.
