it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
If you were to walk into my classroom at the end of the day you would see me checking our marker bins to make sure all the caps are on and tightly closed. First year art teacher here and I learned a big lesson this year.... Markers are fun but won't last when not used correctly. Even after a lesson all about markers, how to use markers, how to color with markers by holding it in different angles, covering a marker is difficult for some students.
Marker caps roll on the floor, do not fully close, or even go missing every day in my art room, so how can I fix this, you might ask- with retractable markers!
The kid-friendly click-to-close will help students keep the marker ink fresh and lively. I also learned this year from a fellow art teacher that standing your markers upside down will prolong a marker's life. The ink drips down to the tip and gives a more vibrant color. Adding a marker holder to each table will definitely help to organize and keep markers coloring all year long.
