Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items I am requesting will make a significant difference in the learning of my students. The LEGO Station will help my students with problem solving and leadership skills. The LEGO Station project will help with creativity and ingenuity while developing engineer skills. The challenges of their own LEGO creating models of buildings and bridges becoming more complex as they practice more. Students need time to be creative and the center will promote development and refinement of visual and spatial skills. Students need time to think and brainstorm about what they want to build in order to create their own masterpiece. The center will also promote team building and leadership, and help students build friendship bonds. Collaborative teamwork encourages joint focus sharing, and reinforces positive behavior and social interactions.
