My Project

My students are motivated by technology and robotics is an exciting way to bring STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) to our classroom. STEAM is crucial, especially, for my students who want to be doctors, architects, engineers, scientists, computer programmers, etc. With LEGO SPIKE Essential, students will learn through playful activities to think critically and solve complex problems, regardless of their learning level. My students will build robots and use software to plan, test, and modify sequences of instructions to improve upon their creations. With LEGO SPIKE Essential kits, I will be able to give my students the opportunity to dream big and create fully functioning robots and other inventions.

LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential is the cross-curricular STEAM solution for elementary education.

It consists of a main classroom brick set with a wide variety of LEGO® elements and intelligent hardware, along with the intuitive SPIKE™ App, all of which is accompanied by a selection of unit plans. These standards-aligned learning units use everyday themes, relatable Minifigures with different personalities, and familiar LEGO® building elements to solve problems through storytelling. It engages students in hands-on investigation of STEAM concepts while contributing to literacy, math, and social-emotional development.

My class of Title 1 gifted students participate in a voluntary integration program. SPIKE Essential will excite these diverse students and deliver strong STEAM learning outcomes. It will develop their STEAM knowledge and practices and ready them with 21st century skills. I can't wait to see what my students create and build with these kits.
