Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students are driven, hardworking and inquisitive, which is why we strive to use their interests to continue developing their skills.

Our school is located in the south-central Bronx area in New York City.

Over 95% of the school receives free lunches. We pride ourselves on developing students to become critical thinkers that can excel in the 21st century. Our mission is to help students find their passion, and we can only accomplish it by providing choices, like robotics and coding.

My Project

Through this project, my students can compete in the Lego First League. Students will be able to use this Lego robotics kit to create, develop and write code. This Lego League team will foster collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving skills. Through the advancement of technology, our students need to be better prepared for the future, and this project will allow us to do just that: prepare them for the future.

The initiatives in education are now geared towards STEAM (Science, technology, engineering, arts and math).

This project engages students in STEAM in a way that that is fun and challenging. This project will spark the interests of many students, allowing them to become more involved in their own education.
