My Students

My students are amazing human beings! They are full of life and have endless potential to do so many wonderful things. My school is a Title I school in a poverty stricken community. Our school receives a grant that allows every child to have free breakfast and lunch served at school due to food insecurities at home. Many of our parents struggle to help meet the needs of school supplies and the needs of their children. Regardless of these circumstances, my students overcome! They are learning how to face challenges and grow stronger academically, socially and emotionally preparing them for the next level of life.

I believe that these students deserve every opportunity this world has to offer and I am determined to help them get it.

These students can change the world with their brilliant minds and can climb out of the cycle of poverty through the gift of education. They will learn that the world is theirs for the taking with hard work, dedication and knowledge.

My Project

Remember as a kid when you played with Legos? Remember all the hours of fun you had? Did you know that Legos can be educational? As a Lego enthusiast, I want to show my students that they too can become the future coders, engineers, and scientists!

Building, creating, developing Lego sets develop organization, problem-solving, and planning skills that go beyond the classroom.

Lego Robotics sets will enhance communication and critical thinking skills as students work as teams to design their robot to do specific tasks. Since this is a math class students will learn measurement, data, and Geometry as part of my assessment of their learning.
