My Project

My sixth grade students were excited to experience their first Centers Day last week! After an extended period of anticipation, they were finally able to start "building the Titanic" with our new LEGO kits. Unfortunately, it was quickly apparent that only a few students had experience with following LEGO directions, and completing the slightly complicated ship structure was extremely challenging.

I am requesting a number of LEGO kits to give students experience working with much smaller structures before we work our way up to building the Titanic!

In addition, I am requesting a set of extra LEGO bricks and a Snap Circuits electronics kit to add to the two we already have. These materials will help students learn to work in small groups effectively as they build their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills. They will have a blast while they learn!
