My Students

Help my students build their dreams of alarm systems, musical instruments, TV remotes, and other programmable devices through STEM interactive toys.

My students are hardworking and love school.

They are collaborative and work well in a group. They love hands-on and project based work. My students also love computers and all new technology. It's wonderful to get a computer in their hands to see what they can do!

My Project

I am requesting the LEGO Mindstorms to explore mathematical concepts through play and discovery, and to teach my students the basics of computer programming. The LEGO Mindstorms uses software to program a robot, which will aide in my students learning about programming and engineering skills. I am also requesting a LightUp Tesla Kit which will also help to build STEM foundations for my students. They will be able to learn about circuits, programming, and engineering by combining electronics with the power of code. An iPad will be used with the LightUp Kit as a control. An application used on the iPad will allow students to build projects working interactively with them in class.

I would love to turn my third grade classroom into a STEM center where other teachers and students can collaborate their ideas.

Having my students explore computer programming and engineering techniques is sure to help them in their future careers!
