Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are inquisitive and fun loving! They are starving for knowledge. My K-1 children are like a sponge.

My students are on the Autistic Spectrum, and they want what all children want, which is to have fun, be accepted by their peers and mentors, feel safe and comforted, and to explore the world around them.

They love to experience and learn new things.

My Project

"Learning Without Tears " is an amazing curriculum that will help my students grow in their understanding of writing, reading and communication. The materials in this curriculum will be a hands on experience for my students. Using wooden sticks to build letters, using chalk and chalk boards and then being able to transfer what was learned using paper and pencil offers a multisensory approach to learning.

As a teacher of students with special needs I am always looking for motivating ways to teach my students and I believe this will be a great fun way to teach and learn.
