Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students range from age 6 - 8 and love to explore new things. The majority of my students are visual and kinesthetic learners. My classroom is composed of students with special needs and English Language Learners. They enjoy learning if the classroom meets their learning style. My students like small group instruction in the form of centers. These centers help with re-teaching an idea or skill for struggling learners, develop smaller and one on one assistance, and challenge others.

My Project

Enabling my students to have these materials will allow them to learn using more than just the traditional approach. With Covid, our students have to learn in a different way to meet their unmet needs. Due to having individual items, the seat sacks will come in handy so that each child can have their own place to put their learning materials. Centers are the big focus this year, and so the kiddos need sensory items for their center work. With the play-dough, my students are able to use the dough to help learn how to create letters and spell words. With the marker dabbers, the students are able to practice their writing, finding, and drawing skills.
