My Students

My students have severe autism along with other ID components and struggle with everyday routines, social-emotional learning, and tasks that most of us take for granted. They are all unique and have special skills. Since we are a Title I school, most of my students come from low-income households and often need extra help and support.

All of the students have something that is special and unique.

Many love to build things and come up with different ways to use common items that you would never think of!

My Project

I will use the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to purchase colorful visuals to help my students with life-skill math, recipes, and ELA items that will help them be more independent!

These items provide step-by-step instructions to help students be able to do more of the work on their own which will also help them with study skills, problem-solving, and developing more personal responsibility!

Students will be engaged and have the confidence to make choices and be problem solvers with pictures and words as many of my students are not able to write or verbally express themselves.
