Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a total of 44 first grade students. My students are a loving and amazing group that tries their hardest in everything that they do, even if they do not understand the language. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. It warms my heart to see them so excited to share what they are learning with each other and their families.

My students love to learn.

They love learning in different, fun, and interactive ways. They love to teach and learn from each other. They love to use things from the outside world and bring them into our classroom to learn. Our students are middle class and mostly from a Hispanic background. Although English may not be the primary language for many of my students, they try their hardest to succeed at anything they attempt.

My Project

Having these new Amazon Fire Tablets with protective cases in our classroom will help my students be able to work on Internet-based programs that help them with their education. My students are a bundle of fun that enjoy learning in different ways, not just with paper, pen, and a book. Being able to have them enjoy learning through interactive Internet-based games will make them achieve a higher level in their education. Due to the Pandemic the use of paper and pencil can also be a hazard and spread of germs so having enough technology for each student in my class will help avoid any contact between students.
