My Students

I am so lucky to teach a special education classroom full of unique individuals who are all loving and eager to learn. My students are in Kindergarten through Third grade, and each one of them has their own educational learning goals. I teach at a Title I school, in a small east Texas town. Most of my students come from a high poverty area where resources are stretched thin. I am a member of ATPE, and I absolutely love ATPE!

My Project

For this project, I am asking for an ipad with protective case, and an osmo genius kit. Technology allows teachers to take an approach that can help each student learn in their own style.

Putting devices in the hand of the learner allows them the ability to learn like the other students.

Having an iPad to use in our classroom will help students with books that may be above their reading level. With an iPad, they will have the pleasure of listening to books that they may never choose because of the words that are difficult. There are so many different educational apps and tools available today! The Osmo is a unique educational gaming accessory that opens up your iPad to the infinite possibilities of physical play. The full kit allows children to explore science, math, art, and more.
