Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every year teachers spend their summers planning new and exciting ways to make learning fun. I am planning to incorporate financial literacy into my math and science classroom this year with a classroom store. A store in which students will purchase prizes using a classroom monetary system that they have earned for various accomplishments.

Our classroom store will be filled with fun and exciting items!

Smencils and slime are a huge hit in fifth grade and I can't wait for students to earn them! The store will stock things such as Smencils, pop-its, slime and so much more for students throughout the school year.

Students will earn classroom cash for achieving good grades on tests or quizzes, helping others, positive behaviors and so much more! With this classroom cash, they can visit the classroom store to purchase prizes and even school supplies, such as pencils, pens and highlighters, that they may need to replenish.
