My Students

I teach third grade math in one of the best rural schools in Oklahoma! We are a Title I school with the majority of our students receiving free lunches.

My students are a diverse group with varied levels of learning.

Our classroom is a space where we enjoy coming to learn. My students love to learn in non-traditional ways, through technology, room transformations, integrating arts into our lessons, and project-based learning.

My students have huge hearts and are extremely curious about their learning. They have creative, compassionate, and amazing attitudes. They are truly wonderful children. My school is wonderfully supportive of the active hands-on learning that we do in our classroom. I could not ask for a better environment for these students. We are truly a community!

My Project

Osmo Learning Systems can reach all students no matter their learning style. Audio, visual, or kinesthetic learners are equally challenged while using these devices. I hope for this project to spark enthusiasm in my students because they are a tool designated to interact with human touch. As a teacher, maintaining my students' focus and engagement can sometimes be challenging.

My students will benefit by using a device that keeps them intrigued and they will be able to gain confidence when completing tasks.

This confidence gained by my students will benefit them academically. With the implementation of these Osmo Learning Systems in our classroom, I hope to continue to pique my students’ interest to be confident with sharing their learning with other students. There are options available on Osmo Learning Systems to keep my students engaged mentally, as well as, physically during their learning. It is extremely important for many of my students to have the opportunity to get up and “move” throughout our classroom.
