My Students

I teach 28 4th grade students, ages 9 and 10! They are all unique individuals with a variety of talents, abilities, needs, characteristics, personalities, academic abilities and learning styles. For some of my students, learning comes easy, and for other students, academics is challenging and discouraging.

My students are special because they come into the classroom everyday, eager to be at school, despite their difficulties!

It's wonderful to see students be responsible for their own learning, engage in activities, explore, discover and think about their thinking!

My students have determination, motivation, and potential for greatness! Their excitement shows as they enter the classroom with happy smiles, positive energy, and a love for learning! In fact, one student told his mother, he wanted her to reschedule their family cruise vacation because he didn't want to miss school!

That made me smile!

My Project

For some of my students, learning comes easy, and for other students, academics is challenging and discouraging! Why not add some physical movement, yoga, and games to turn challenging concepts into enjoyable learning strategies!

It sounds like learning is fun already!

Wow! By reading Crazy Like a Fox: A Simile Story, Yoga Pretzels (Yoga Cards), You Are a Lion!: And Other Fun Yoga Poses, Yoga Games for Children: Fun and Fitness with Postures, Movements and Breath (SmartFun Activity Books), to name just a few, my students will be definitely saying learning is so much fun!
