My Students

My class consists of 16 wonderful students ages three to five. Each student is unique and full of life. My students have special needs consisting of Down Syndrome, Autism or Developmentally Delayed but the one thing they have in common is they all love to learn.

Little hands, inquiring minds, active feet, and big hearts; this describes my class perfectly.

My students love to interact with technology, listen and dance to music, read books and play. They learn best when using their eyes, ears, and hands to participate in activities.

Since my class is usually the first school experience these students have, I try to make it the best! It is important to make my students' preschool experience wonderful so they have a love for learning and a positive interaction with school.

My Project

My students learn best during playing. We not only work on play skills, we work on communicating what we want and learn basic readiness skills all while playing. Interactive toys like the light-up vacuum and learning cash register will be great in our dramatic play center. My students will have so much exploring the fidget cube and activity cube in our sensory center.

My students need toys that have lights, music and provide hand-on interaction to stay engaged and all these toys are perfect.

Students will also work on communicating asking for specific toys to play with during structured play. These toys will be so popular, we will be working on waiting our turn and sharing.
