My Project

These fine motor toys will make a tremendous difference in the pencil grip the students have at the beginning of the year compared to the grip at the end of second semester. This will aid in the overall positive development of fine motor control. Having bright, colorful, theme related fine motor toys available during center time will enhance and strengthen the tiny muscles and increase dexterity in the students hands as they are engaged in playing.

With a classroom full of 3-5 year olds, we strive to learn through play; these fine motor enhancing materials will allow them to learn in a playful environment.

Playing with materials that will require using muscle control, tracing, writing, cutting skills, etc. will allow my students to learn through play while having a ton of fun with their peers!

I am requesting materials that will encourage the use of muscles necessary for strengthening hands to help in building fine motor skills and work on proper pencil grasp and building of literacy skills while working on fine motor development.
