My Students

These are unprecedented times. Never did I imagine that when my students and I said goodbye in March it would mean that it was our last day in the classroom. However, the year is not over yet!

My students and I have embarked on the distance learning journey!

We are actively engaging in all sorts of different online platforms and learning new things. My students and I participate every morning in Google Meet meetings to go over new material, and to check in with each other. In addition, I am recording lessons at home for them to view and continue to learn new material. I am amazed by their level of engagement and participation, and families' willingness to try new things.

My students and parents have worked extremely hard to keep the learning going. Many of my students are from low income families and lack the necessary supplies and experience to continue learning online. Many of my students rely on worksheets or video meeting with me to complete assignments. Despite all the struggles I have seen my students and parents working hard to do the best they can under these circumstances.

My Project

The material I am asking for will help me better reach my students. The chart tablet and wipe off board will allow me to live teach or record lesson while modeling for the students. Offering the students and parents as much direct modeling as possible really supports their learning.

These materials are necessary to make the online learning as close to our classroom setting as possible.

I want my students to know I am still here to offer them the support they need through these difficult times. The journal will allow them hands on practice with necessary skills.
