Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach at a school with a large population speaking another language at home. This makes it challenging to learn English. Our classroom library is where students get a lot of books to read. It is an important part of our classroom.

A classroom library should have a variety of books with different reading levels.

Our classroom library is lacking books for students who are still learning to read. This project will give students books to practice decoding skills at their level.

With the addition of these new books, students will be able to read together in the library and students' confidence will increase. With increased confidence, students will continue to practice reading and their reading level will soar.
