This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with a beautiful group of special education students learning to read. My students are two or more levels behind grade level in reading. My students eagerly show up every day and work hard to learn how to read.

I want to make phonics and reading instruction more engaging by using literacy games to support their eagerness to learn to read.

Literacy games that target specific skills help my learners make gains in particular areas while having fun. Games will allow my students to sharpen and build their skills while having fun.
