My Project

Sensory toys can be highly effective tools for supporting social-emotional development, particularly for children or individuals with sensory processing challenges, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), anxiety, or other emotional needs.

They can help with:

1. Emotional Regulation

ensory toys like stress balls, fidget spinners, or squishy toys provide a calming outlet for emotions such as anxiety, frustration, or restlessness.Playing with sensory toys encourages focus on physical sensations, promoting mindfulness and reducing emotional overwhelm.

2. Social Skills Development

Unique sensory toys can spark curiosity and encourage dialogue among peers.

3. Improving Focus and Attention

Sensory tools help individuals channel excess energy in a structured way, allowing them to better focus during social or learning activities. A calmer, more regulated state makes individuals more likely to engage in social interactions and group activities.

4. Building Emotional Awareness

Sensory toys teach coping techniques that individuals can use independently during emotional distress.

By addressing sensory needs and providing emotional comfort, sensory toys help individuals feel more secure, emotionally balanced, and ready to connect with others in meaningful ways.

We plan to use the sensory toys when students come see the counseling support staff seeking support for emotional and support guidance.
