My Project

I am a first-year 1st grade teacher. I just graduated with my master's from the University of Tennessee, and I am eager to finally meet all of my children here soon!

I have begun the process of creating a classroom where my children can thrive, and I have found I am missing some essential math materials.

These materials are vital in children's development of math fluency and skills. Research shows children learn more effectively with hands-on materials.

I plan to use these materials such as the bear counters and Snap Blocks in my everyday math lessons to provide children with opportunities to explore different ways to understand math in a way that works best for them. I plan on using the whiteboards within my literacy block to help children with decoding and encoding skills. Please consider helping create a classroom where my children are excited to learn and grow to love learning. I appreciate any and all help. Thank you so much for your support.
