My Project

Literacy is the foundation for academic success. Yet, many deaf children struggle with reading.

I am building a trilingual library that features American Sign Language, Spanish, and English to support the language development of my deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

Developing a love for literacy starts at a young age...and you cannot get much younger than my students. These kiddos are 0-3 years old!

I will use the books in my family class at school and when I visit families for individual sessions in their homes. I work with families to develop their children's pre-literacy skills, language development, and love for reading!
