My Project
I teach all ESL students and so we are trying to both learn the language and bridging any gaps in knowledge. It is really important that our students learn to read and spell basic words before we can move beyond and work on our High School information. Students have a lot of fun working with short stories that help them remember the rules and that allow them to begin reading earlier. This supplies will help with that and we would greatly appreciate your help getting it.
A lot of times students who do not speak fluent English are left behind and never get the basic skills they need to thrive but these books and supplies will help them get those skills before moving to traditional schools.
Our school focuses on language learning and students are given the chance to learn the basic language used and begin learning more of the content before going to a school full of native born speakers. The more help we can get bridging the gaps quicker the more prepared they will be when they enter that school.
