Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a diverse group of learners who are creative, expressive, and artistic! They love to move and use dance to tell so many stories. My students use performing arts as an outlet and have a passion for telling stories on and off the stage.

Dance education provides my students with a unique experience for my students to develop critical thinking skills, self-confidence, discipline, gross motor skills, and the ability to work as a team.

My students are special because they truly love to learn. They are willing to put the hard work in and appreciate the fact that dance in a public school is so very rare.

My Project

The floor stickers and carpet stickers will be used to ensure that my students have defined spaces to dance and move safely for in-person learning. Rolls of classroom tape will help ensure that anchor charts and dance vocabulary posters will stick to the concrete walls. The mesh bags will provide students a ventilated bag to carry their shoes and belongings in rather than using plastic grocery bags. Finally, the wireless microphone will amplify the instructor's voice behind the mask ensuring that each student can hear, while allowing her to move freely.
