Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The vegetable, fruit and herb seeds along with the planters will serve as an amazing introductory experience to students who demonstrate an interest in gardening, agriculture and environmental sustainability. Students will learn the basic skills in gardening and growing their own food. Students will also learn the responsibility of a sustainable lifestyle that promotes a healthy living and environment.

The idea of growing their own food and when to harvest is also intended for students to develop college and career skills that will open doors to careers in agriculture such as; Botany, Farm Worker, Agricultural Engineers, Florist and more.

The students with this area of interest share unique traits in curiosity, studying how things grow, the desire to care for something, nurturing character, and the importance of eating healthy. These items will support this project allowing them to experience the first steps to the world of agriculture.
