My Students

I teach various technology to 400+ K-8 students. Each grade level has different technology available to them and are eager and curious to learn each and every day. I am looking to create a more STEM friendly environment to keep our students motivated and interested in the technology they are using and provide more hands on approach.

Not everyone learns the same and being able to provided different materials and tasks that will reach all learning styles will allow everyone to reach their full potential.

My Project

With the availability of the Ozobot Bit Dual Pack Sets, students will not only be provided a more hands on approach to coding than the web-based coding we have been working on previously, but a chance to work in small groups and collaborate with their peers. Through this collaboration students will be able to build on their communication skills, develop a deeper understanding of how certain color sequences mean different things, but also learn how to problem solve, all through play.

This type of experience will allow for creative thinking, problem solving skills, success, trial-and-error, curiosity, excitement, and competition to take place in our classroom.
