My Students

I am limited in professional development materials. This needs to change.

I am a middle school math teacher of sixty-five wonderful students.

I have been teaching math for seven years now, and I must say I enjoy my job to the fullest. I want to be able to equip myself with the most up to date strategies and skills available to better serve my students. I am fortunate to be a part of a professional learning community that meets each Wednesday. This is a time in which we discuss the needs of our students and how to better serve them.

My Project

The materials I am requesting include a projector and an iPad Mini with a protective case and earbuds. These materials will be used to explore SimpleK12, which is a professional development website. The webinars and tutorials that are available will allow me to equip myself with strategies and skills to aid me in addressing the individual learning styles of my students. Also, I will be able to download apps that allows me to monitor the progress of my students in the area of computation. In addition, I will be able to project my findings to share with my co-workers during our professional learning community time.

By donating to this project you will make it possible for me to obtain the tools and materials necessary to acquire the knowledge and skills to improve my teaching techniques in the classroom.

In turn, students will be engaged in activities geared specifically to their individual needs to ensure they gain the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in school. Your support will make a huge difference for both the teacher and the student.
