My Students

While I do have a full time classroom, this project reaches a much wider population in my school. I run a before school program to introduce students to the Sphero, a small robot in the shape of a sphere.

The students participating in this the Sphero program come from various backgrounds.

Spheros will be used by a variety of students. They will be housed in the gifted and talented program to use during class and pull-out time. They will also be used by the wider school community by the offering of before and after school programs, giving all students access to them.

My Project

My students have enjoyed using Speros in both the classroom and in a before school program. I have seen students of all abilities learn to reason out and solve problems using this robot. Our school set now needs to be updated in order compete with other schools.

I have seen the learning that takes place with Spheros from students of all abilities.

Many children flourish when presented the chance to use technology. I would like to help provide students with this technology to enhance their learning and prepare them for the future.
