Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a teacher in a low income/ high poverty school. Many of my students come from troubled homes. Many of their parents do not have the means to offer them the technology they need to get them ready. I want to be able to offer them experiences and opportunities that they otherwise would not get at home. My students are great and very enthusiastic learners. I want to keep the fire burning for them. With your support, this will be possible. Thank you!

My Project

Having technology in the classroom is very important. In my particular school were have outdated computers and limited funds for newer computers or devices.

Having up to date technology, such as iPads, ensures that my students have an engaging and unique access to all online educational resources.

Also, having an iPad in the classroom will insure that my students have the same learning opportunities that any other student might have. These online resources include everything from math websites, test prep games, virtual lessons, and other learing opportunities.

By having access to new technology, my students will be better prepared for SBAC testing and test prep websites.
