Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like the first time you were able to use a computer in your classroom? Technology has come so far and current teaching manipulatives are reflecting these exciting advances in technology.

The curious second and third grade students in my classroom love technology and become thoroughly engaged in lessons whenever technology is incorporated.

These bright young minds are all diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder but love to learn and enjoy experimenting with new, interesting, and interactive materials. Many of my students are learning to count while others are learning to add. All of them are also in various stages of learning to tell time.

My Project

By incorporating interactive clocks, number lines, and an iPad into classroom instruction, the bright young minds in my class will be exposed to an interactive way of learning new content material. Not only will students' engagement in instruction be increased, but students will also learn to use some of the newest technology. Students will be excited to use and experiment with these new manipulatives and will be exposed to technological advances that they otherwise would not have had.

Your donations to this project will not only allow my students with Autism Spectrum Disorder to learn essential daily living and life skills, but will also expose students to the newest technology in education and society.
