Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school located in a diverse low-income community. Our students receive free breakfast and lunch daily, along with free after-school care. Over 70% of our population speak English as a second language. Many of my students come from families that have little exposure to books and modern technology. My students are a bright bunch with huge hearts and come to school each day to learn as much as they can. Kindergarten is the foundation that prepares kids for the rest of their lives! College graduating class of 2038, here we come!

My Project

The items in this project will help my students engage in small groups. Small groups are something that we are really focusing on as a school to really personalize learning for our students who have been out of school for eighteen months due to the pandemic. Students will use these learning games and materials in a small group to aid their understanding of each specific content.

Small groups allow students to access specific skills that they need to grow on.

The printer will allow me to print off more small group materials, homework practice, and individualized activities in a quick and accessible way. Thank you for helping me with personalized learning in my classroom!
