Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As the Inclusion room, I noticed all my Kinder babies LOVE to move, wiggle, and bounce any chance they get while in their seats. So why not give them the chance to do so in a way that will not hinder their learning and keep them laser sharped focused on the learning.

My students are fun and energetic, with unique ways of processing information in their juicy brains which motivates me to think outside the box for ways to maximize the learning.

I want to help them all stay focused, more engaged in the lesson, and happy...with flexible seating and sensory learning!

My Project

Sensory learning aims to stimulate children's senses in multiple ways and encourages them to use their senses to learn new things. In our classroom, these materials will be a great tool to enhance our classroom themes and learning in all subjects.

Being able to provide some sensory manipulatives for my classroom I can help my students meet their sensory needs; when those needs are met they will succeed in the classroom, socially and in everyday functioning!

With a sensory classroom, I am also creating a classroom culture that is filled with inclusion and acceptance. Creating a readiness to learn through playdoh, kinesthetic sand, magnetic letters/numbers, and flexible seating.
