My Project

Learning English can be hard work. For kindergarteners who have little school and English exposure, a full day of school can be overwhelming.

Playing while learning academic concepts and English is a fun way for Kindergarten students to learn and retain new information.

Having hands-on phonics toys where students can hear the letter names, sounds and learn new sight words is much more enjoyable than the standard drills they are hearing in the classroom.

Kindergarten students also benefit from the tactile use of playdoh to build letters, shapes, and even English vocabulary words. Having realia such as a you house and cabin will allow students to use their new English vocabulary to use through pretend play. What could be better than learning new skills an having fun while doing so?
