This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are all between the ages of 4 and 5. At this age, it is important to help them develop their fine motor skills.

A great way to engage young learners is to create opportunities for them to learn while playing.

I want to use the items such as magnetic blocks, tiles, connector interlocking blocks, and links to create fine motor centers that the kids will use during our free exploration time in the classroom. I will use the bins to place the resources so they will not get lost. Another great way to practice fine motor skills is through art. I currently have an art center where the kids practice their skills by tearing paper, using scissors, and glue. I would also like to include some paint, brushes, and a drying rack in their center to make it more efficient for them to use.
