My Students

I have 20 wonderful students. The range in age from 3 to 5 years-old. My students represent a wide range of backgrounds. The school district is made up of 52% Hispanic, 35% African American, and 22% Caucasian. A few of my students are learning English, with Spanish being their primary language. They are very eager to learn and they deserve the best of the best!

My students are little sponges.

They are soaking in everything they learn. They are very excited to learn and grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Since they are very young, they need hands-on experiences to aid in their learning. They love to learn through play. Play is vital to the learning process for early childhood.

These students would greatly benefit from your donation. We are in great need of tools to assist their learning. Thank you for taking the time to read.

My Project

My students learn best through play. I want to give them more experiences in the dramatic play center to take advantage of learning through play. I love to incorporate activities we are learning about into centers. Also, I will need lots of storage for the new materials and materials we already have.

I am planning on reading the book, Vegetable Soup.

In the book, the students learn about growing their own vegetables to make soup. I want to turn my dramatic play center into a vegetable garden. I need gardening materials, so they can pretend they are growing their own soup. I need the soup materials, so they can pretend like they are preparing what they grew.

As you can imagine, these centers require lots of materials. I need a way to store them, so I can see and easily access the materials. The clear stackable storage containers will make this possible.
