My Students

The majority of my pre-kindergarten children live in Brooklyn! We are a Blue Ribbon, Title I school! Our students come to school every day eager to learn and have a very unique love for learning. As their teacher, along with my co-teacher, we would like to create a warm, calming, and appropriate learning environment for our children to learn!

Our students enjoy listening to read-aloud books and exploring with a variety of hands-on materials.

“What new materials will we be using today, Mrs. Laker?” This is a question that is asked daily of our students. We want to give them everything possible in order to succeed and have a love for learning!

My Project

Learning Through Play! Our Pre-kindergarten deserves to expand their learning by using a multitude of learning materials. The wooden vehicles and community people will be added to our block center for our students to explore and learn about all different types of vehicles found in our community. All of the translucent materials will come in handy when we move on to our light unit, and the water beads will be used in our sensory bin when we are working on our water unit. We are eager and ready to learn, but we just need some assistance in obtaining these materials. With your help, we will be able to do this!
