My Students

All kids, typical as well as children with autism, learn through hands-on-activities and play.

I teach 6 wonderful 5-6 years old students with autism.

I work in high-needs school. Each student has different IEP goals (Individual Educational Program), but all of them really enjoy play time. It satisfies their sensory needs and free play as well as improves their fine motor skills and cognitive development.

My Project

My students learn different concepts through play activities. All of them enjoy coming to school and learning through fun. They will learn letters and numbers by using "Feel and Find Sensory Tub". They will improve their fine motor skills by playing with 'mold and play sand' as well as pegboard set. They will improve their social skills by playing pretend games with tea party, kitchen, and food sets. They will improve their eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills by completing various puzzles and sorting boards. Unfortunately, I do not have various toy sets, puzzles, sorting boards as well as play sand for the rest of the school year and summer school. In order for my students to enhance their fine motor skills, fulfill their sensory needs as well as improve their cognitive and social development, I need to acquire these various supplies.

I believe every single student deserves the right to learn.
