This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Pre-K classroom is full of new students who have just started their learning journey at school and all of them are curious and eager to know more about the world they are living in. Unfortunately, my children come from very low-income families and most of them have already suffered a lot while moving to the United States as they have to deal not only with a different home but new cultures, another language, and lifestyle in general. As their first teacher, I want to show them what they are capable of, my biggest desire for them is to make them know that in my classroom everyone has an opportunity to always learn something too and make an impact with their knowledge among others in their environment.

The only time of the day when my kids have access to materials such as books, manipulatives, hands-on activities, and purposeful toys is when they come to school, and in order to make this new phase of their lives more meaningful, I need to provide them with good quality resources.

By funding this project, you will help all my children who expect to learn and discover new things as they play and have fun to have the best first school year ever a little kid could ask for.
