I teach a group of very creative and energetic kindergarteners. They love to play pretend, especially in the kitchen area. The children are often seen playing restaurant, house, and school there. The only problem is there is no table to use as a restaurant booth, kitchen table, or cafeteria table. Getting them this table and chairs will make a world of difference in their play and they will no longer have to sit on the floor.
This will make dramatic play more realistic, fun, and engaging!
Young children need to have time in their day to practice their social skills and problem-solve with their peers. The kitchen area is their favorite place to do this.
My students also enjoy hands-on activities and love to build! I think the Picasso Tiles would be a great way for them to develop their critical thinking and be creative.
