Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is the first full Transitional Kindergarten classroom in my school. Most children are 4 turning 5 and I am working on bringing in more developmentally appropriate material.

Children learn best through their senses and this would help them explore materials of different textures with their hands.

I plan on incorporating this into their center routines and use it to enhance their language arts, math skills, science and so much more. The children will have the opportunity to play while they learn across the subjects. Throughout the year we fill our sensory table with water, sand, dirt, real objects, seasonal ideas, measuring tools and so much more!
